Who May Attend?
This preK – 12th grade workshop is for all who teach children: pre-service teachers, licensed educators, school teachers, home school educators, non-formal educators, interns, fellows, volunteers, Friends members, naturalists, park rangers, etc.! We encourage educator teams from the same geographic area to sign up and attend together.
What Will We Do?
Explore innovative ways to use the outdoors as a classroom with integrated curriculum to enhance and strengthen a child’s education
Discover new ways to motivate students and interact with children who are excited about learning.
Observe professionals and apply outdoor classroom methods by leading the same youth daily, outdoors, in a supportive, team-teaching environment.
Strengthen your outdoor teaching and reflection skills, and apply them to your indoor curriculum. Benefit from the immediate opportunity to apply workshop content with a small group of motivated youth.
Gain knowledge and real-world experience in the prairie pothole ecosystem with direct carry-over to any geographic location, any age, and any season.
